Steps
- Locate the original file in a Word document that needs to be changed. Where is that kept in the office? Perhaps it can be located in the google drive in the ISCAVideos account.
- Make the edits to update and change the file.
- Export a .PDF from Word.
- Resave the file back to its location so it can be located for the next time.
- Compress the PDF by going to https://PDFcompressor.com.
- The new file gets downloaded after compressing and is renamed with -min in the file's title.
- Login to Sirv, https://Sirv.com.
- Go to the ISCA Art account.
- Navigate to wp/meets directory and find the directory for the correct meet. In this case it was /wp/meets/24-jan.
- Remove the old file to the trash.
- Upload the new file to the trash.
- Can put in a file description and tags.
- Can rename the file.
- Get the link to the file by a copy into the computer's clipboard / memory.
- Go to https://SwimISCA.org/wp-admin/ and login.
- Navigate to the page where the new link is needed.
- Click to edit the page with ThriveThemes page editor, Thrive Architect.
- Click the block / symbol to edit.
- Click the link to edit and then the target URL needs to be deleted and paste in the new target URL from clipboard, as that came from Sirv.
- Save the symbol. Save the page.
- Check that the link works and points to the correct PDF.
